What to see
Four sights carry the town: a hilltop fortress, a dinosaur park in the pines, a lit cave up the valley and a slope full of zip lines.
Built by the Teutonic Knights between 1211 and 1225, conquered only once in its history — the cobbled lanes, the 143m well that legend says took 17 years to dig, and the best panorama over the Bârsa valley.

A limestone cave a short drive up the valley, with lit stalactite chambers and an underground hall used for classical concerts.
